Riding the emotional roller coaster caused of dealing with an infected PC has never been much fun. Hunting down a free virus repair is often the first step to gaining tranquility once again. Can it do more harm than good though?
What if these repair programs actually contained malicious intentions, for instance; spyware and malware...or possibly another Trojan infection. There is an old saying that 'nothing in life is free' and this still stands true.
One way or another the free virus repair programs are going to make you pay, usually by them being paid lump sums of money for displaying thousands of adverts via adware whenever you log on. Once you have these deep in your system - along side the current problems, things are definitely going to take a turn for the worse.
How can this be legal?
When installing or running the free virus repair programs, you are met with a user license agreement, it's all there in detail, unfortunately most people simply just agree to it and hit continue. Funny thing is; you've just agreed to have your PC compromised - Giving full rights to have adware and spyware injected into your computers data files.
Professional anti-virus protection is vital now - sure, a few years ago it was acceptable to 'not worry' about virus corruption; today it is a recurring problem. With our daily tasks becoming more and more reliant on the use of computers and the Internet (online shopping, banking etc), there's too much risk to being caught with our pants down.
